Early on in their lives, Kriz, Gianni and Rob discovered their love to Hip-Hop. Totally juiced up by the Rap music of the 90′s, Chris and Rob grabbed pen and paper at the age of 13 to put down their first song. Soon after that they had their first appearances at school events and mini-jams, which were applauded by the audience. This triggered their desire for

more and they began releasing their first underground tapes… Gianni joined them in 2003, which was the birth of “Capo di Capi” as it is today. Still, the themes of their raps were very different from today. Battleraps and deep rhymes were their trademark. Their rhymes were about the competition with other rappers, pain, love and despair. At first their lyrics were a way of proving themselves, but soon they wanted to show that they walked the talk. This is how they got derailed and introduced to the street life. Their values were formed accordingly, which meant that money, fame and honor were the number one goal. After producing two more underground-albums, they came to realize their path of self-destruction in 2005. From their childhood, each one of them knew that God existed, but their faith had no impact on their daily lives. In this dark period of their lives, they decided to call on God and ask him for help. They didn’t know religion and tradition, they didn’t know anything about denominations, nor do they want anything to do with them now. All they knew was that they needed God. They gradually found living faith in the God of the Bible. They came to know Gods love. They found, that Gods son, Jesus Christ, had died on the cross for their sins….. This was the moment in which „Capo di Capi“ were renewed. Their first Gospel-Rap album „Für Dich“ (For You) was released in 2009 and their Mixtape „Das könnte dein Leben verändern“ (This could change your life) followed in 2010….. Whoever believes that the music of Capo di Capi is now only for uptight christian folk, is greatly mistaken! With their unique sound they have enthused christians aswell as regular Rap-fans from all over Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Especially the listeners who are keen on deep lyrics and like to party now and then, see their needs met by the music of Capo di Capi.
