Hog Mob recording artist Bliz (short for Blizerd) is from the west side of Union City, a small city in the east bay area of nort

hern california. He wrote his first rap at the age of 13, however he didn’t expose his passion for writing music until his freshman year in highschool. Around that same time Bliz began attending youth group services at a local church with his cousin. Although this would be the first time Bliz was introduced to Christ, he would not completely submit to God’s calling until nearly 4 years later. Bliz affiliated himself with the “bloods” street gang. By the age of 14 he was a closet alcoholic, regularly carried knives and/or guns (sometimes even to the church he attended) and occasionaly sold marijuana. This behavior continued even after Bliz “got saved” at the age of 16. By the time he was 20 the stress of trying to live the life of a gangster in private and a christian in public began to take its toll on him mentally. “I just got tired of living a lie. And it’s weird ‘cause the lie I lived was backwards. Most people, especially rappers, claim to be gangsters who sleep wit all kinds of women and just drink all day and stuff but they don’t live like that. But here I was tellin these kids to stay sober and stay abstinent and stay away from gangs, but id go out the same night and set trip on somebody wearin a blue hat while I was on my way to get drunk and have sex with some girl. I juss couldn’t do it no more ya kno, so it was like, either you serve God or you don’t, but however you’re living your life tell people that. And ya kno, thankfully I had enough of the truth in me that I chose to serve God.” Now at the age of 25, Bliz is currently working on a follow up to last years debut album “MOB Muzik”. With a passion for the truth and abundant lyrical giftings and the Father ordering his steps, Bliz is sure to accomplish great things for the kingdom.
