Grew up in San Diego, CA to a single mom of two. Pops wasn’t around, he was either locked up or running the streets getting high. He used to beat my moms until she finally got up the courage to leave. I started running the streets at age 9. Chilling with the older homies from the block learning how to steal cars and weigh out dope. I lived in a good home with my grandparents and mom, but still wanted to be out on the block doing the things the older cats was doing. Seeing them get money and having fly whips and girls, I wanted that too. By age 13 I was smoking weed and stealing cars and it only progressed from there. This lifestyle went on for almost 15yrs. I have been robbed at gun point and duct tapped in my house while 5 dudes with guns ransacked the house looking for money and dope. That didn’t change me, I would tell myself “it’s just part of the game”. It wasn’t til I was almost 28 that GOD finally got my attention. I was coming back from LA visiting my cousins. My Lil bro and his homeboy picked me up from the train station in downtown. We were mobbin back to my crib when we got pulled over. We had weed in the car and I was in the back rolling up a blunt. My Lil bro was on probation at the time for possession and I wasn’t gonna let him take the fall, so I took the ticket. That night I made a decision that I was done with that life. The next weekend my Lil sister invited to church cuz they were having a rap concert and the pastor was showing the movie he had made. Half way through the movie I started balling uncontrollably cuz I could see my life in the movie. The Holy Spirit had grabbed a hold of me that night and has never let go since. It has been almost 5yrs now and I’m still walking strong.  I’m not saying that I don’t struggle or that it ain’t hard, cuz this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. But GOD is good and he is faithful. He has allowed me to be a part of a church plant here in San Diego, The Body Church. I have travelled to other countries to share the gospel and been able to get linked up with brothers in Christ who share the same love for music that I do. These are all things that if GOD wasn’t in control of my life, would never have happened. All glory to the Father and my Savior JESUS CHRIST!!!
